TKS KOREA, a company specializing in kitchen equipment, has launched a new dumbwaiter for kitchen elevators. It is already modularized from the factory to compensate for the shortcomings and unsafe parts of the existing restaurant elevator, and customers have been steadily requesting to install it as soon as it was released.

It is powered by single-phase 220V, so users do not need to install a three-phase power source separately, and the inverter drive method is adopted to increase the sense of stability during operation. It is surrounded by steel towers to minimize damage to the building, and the pre-construction exterior finishing method greatly reduces construction costs, while the small space can be widely used to reduce the burden on the installation site.

Floor area 0.5㎡. Although dumbwaiters with a car height of 600mm or less are excluded from the inspection agency's completion inspection, the design meets the inspection standards, including emergency stop switch, door interlock and door switch, final device, arrival buzzer signal device, floor indicator and direction indicator, fault diagnosis function, and intercom device to satisfy the safe operation of users. "The smart appearance and sharp edges of doors, shelves, etc. are smoothed out, so there is no need to worry about cutting your hands," said Kwak Sang-kyu, CEO of TKS Korea. "The product is designed in consideration of installation difficulties based on the principle of vertical and horizontal, so it can be assembled and commissioned on the same day with only a floor groove."

The biggest feature of the product is that it adopts microcomputer electronics. Previous electronic dumbwaiters used relay or PLC methods, but the company's dumbwaiter adopts microcomputer electronics and has its own automatic fault diagnosis function, which significantly reduces the residual failure rate. "Since the failure mode is displayed in numbers, it is possible to perform A/S by phone or remotely," said Mr. Kwak, emphasizing that the product, which was developed in June last year, can be used for up to five floors of one board and is a popular model with more than 100 units currently installed in libraries, hospitals, and restaurants.
