Korea Elevator Safety Institute¡¤China Special Equipment Supervision Authority signed MOU
Korea¡¤China, core country in global elevator market Agreed on exchanging information on safety, standards and experts
Korea and China decided to cooperate on elevator safety and technical standards. Korea Elevator Safety Institute(president Kim nam duk, hereunder refer to as KESI) signed MoU on 'the cooperation of sharing elevator safety information and standard' with SESA(Special Equipment Supervision Authority) that is under control of AQSIQ. Especially, SESA is institute of issuing permission on manufacturing¡¤installation¡¤maintenance and inspection on 8 kinds of special equipments. On the MoU include the sharing information on safety and standards, exchanging experts, hosting seminar to be a leader of world elevator market.
Europe market¡æAsia market At now, China market take 60% of world market and every 300,000 units are newly installed every year. It's estimated that 2 millions units of elevators are installed in China. KESI expected that China market potential and Korea technology on elevator inspection would make successful results. Also, they expected that this MoU would be a trigger for switching world market from Europe to Asia. Especially, depending on imported elevators from China is increased now and the MoU opened the way to enhance the safety of these elevators. The MoU is complimented one from last version that was discussed in '2010 Korea elevator safety expo' and based on the bill China suggested. Both countries will establish website for online discussion on accidents, inspection skills and they cooperate to host conference. On the other hands, in the signing of MoU, Kim nam duk, president of KESI, Lue biarly, vice-chair of ASME, Espandia Garivan, chairman of European Standard for elevator, Ian toddkill, PALEA chairman, Chunssiashin, president of Sizu group, Jang hu, president of Torin drive, Gidepa, president of Step company and 500 related persons participated in. Also, in this day, KESI signed MoU with China elevator Association. Mr. Kim nam duk said ¡°We need cooperation on various field and it's very important day by day¡± and added ¡°This MoU will be a mile stone for the relationship of both country¡±.
