Spotlight _ KETSI, carried out KOLAS training program for 'Person in charge of equipment'
Through maintaining compatibility of equipment, optimizing inspection quality The program strengthen an equipment manager ability
Korea Elevator Safety and Technology Institute(president Lee geun chul, hereunder refer to as KESTI) carried out KOLAS training program for 'Person in charge of equipment' from 11th to 12th last month to maintain KOLAS compatibility. KOLAS(Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme) is a system of accrediting national scheme for calibration, testing and inspection institute based on national standardization laws and international standard scheme. Korea Agency of Technology and Standard was first accredited on June 2003. This training program was provided for 18 persons working for KESTI to maintain compatibility of equipment management. The program included KOLAS system, KS Q 17020, General terms and practice of calibration, Understanding of uncertainty and application, KOLAS manual and procedures of KESTI. Especially, KESTI made up the complements on 'Ability of persons taking charge of equipment from KOLAS audit, KESTI invited 4 external lecturers (from Ministry of Knowledge and Economy, Korea Testing Lab, Korea Conformity Laboratory) to meet the level of the training program of ¡®KOLAS precision measuring persons. Kim gi hoon, section chief of KESTI, who participated in the training said ¡°This is a chance for upgrading the knowledge of equipment management, and plan to maintain the compatibility of equipment management system¡±. KESTI keep the compatibility of KOLAS system with this program and plan to optimize the quality of inspection quality.
