Finishing the Preparation of Foundation Through Global Network Forum

Small Medium Business Administration(SMBA) and Large&Small Business Cooperation Foundation(BCF) prepared the foundation of 'Escrow' which started to be pilot operated from last August.
SMBA held 'Global Network Forum related to Escrow' inviting experts from overseas and korea in the Je-ju island.
This is the first 'Global Network Forum related to Escrow', and top ranked persons of NCC, England, the number 1 technology saving institute and Escrow-Tech company, U.S.A., with more than 100 experts participated in the forum for preparing foundation for global network.
Escrow is that the owners of technology deposit their technology to 3rd party to prevent technology outlet. This system is not familiar to us but it is already prevail in Europe so that private companies run the system for their profit. This came from the need more than patent protection laws according to the shortened life cycle of technology. Countries adapted escrow system in laws already vitalized but most counties don't.
Among these, in Korea, software business already applied Escrow and the other part will be applied from next year according to the laws on large&small business mutual prosperity cooperation.
This system prevent unreasonable requirements on the core technology of small company from large company based on the superior position in the contract. Also, help large company can maintain supply line even though one small company go bankruptcy.
SMBA prepared the plan for applying the system and verified 93% of member companies positive on the system last July then started pilot operation of the system. Recently, the system can be applied during finding new supply line or starting new business.
On the other hands, at the first day in this forum, BCF and KITECH, KETI, Korea technology colleage and KIPA signed MOU on technology exchange for having channel to move the system.
The next day, Mr. Jon Leigh, total responsibility in NCC(National Computing Center) and Mr.Jorge Sagastume, vice president of Escrow-Tech gave explanation on escrow and had time to discuss on the status of Korea with experts.
