Small-Medium Companies Don't Give Up R&D Under Depression
Reasonable and Available Support Plan will Start from Next Year

However recently unfavourable situation like high raw material and oil price, unstability of america financial state, small-medium companies actively carry out R&D.
Small Medium Business Administration(Administer Hong seok woo, hereunder refer to as SMBA) did survey to 400 small-medium companies under carrying-out technical development, 70.9% companies sad yes for same level of total sales and 57.3% companies did yes for decreasing earning. So decreasing of earning is most concerning issue in this year.
But under this situation, investment on R&D increasing(37.8%) is superior to decreasing(24.7%). And increasing employee(28.0%) is also superior to decreasing(15.6%).
But common opinion(69.3%) sad recently 2 years' R&D investment is just maintaining international competition level and no more.
But, last 2 years investment gave small-medium companies to maintain gap(43.4%) and make narrow it(39.9%).
The most common problem when they carry out R&D is short budget(54.5%) and man power, and consider hire capable man(29.4%) and R&D investment from government(25.9%).
And 45.5% of responders have no experience of achieving government investment. The main causes are small companies less than 10 employees was disqualified in the documents review and small merits for more than 50 employees.
A person form SMBA sad “Small-medium companies already recognized importance of R&D and they will not give up R&D under hard situation” and added “Government will apply new policy of investment with more budget and easy to apply”.
