An affiliated company of ThyssenKrupp elevator, the head quarter located in Hamburg, Germany, ThyssenKrupp Fahrtreppen supplied 2 unique movable escalators to China airport. It's plan to install at the beginning of this month and to serve VIP in Beijing international airports during Olympic games.
This product have 4.9 m height, made of Germany, deliver by truck. Also, two escalator have different height so that it can dock with Boeing 747/ Airbus A380 and A330/A340. Especially, the height difference caused by wings' weight and fuel level can be controlled by hydraulic method, and it have good appearance with gold color steps and light colored class handrail.
Wolfgang Stein, director of ThyssenKrupp Fahrtreppen, explained “The contract with China airway was careful challenger for our company” and added “Generally, escalator is passenger carriage method, but in this case it must have one more option, that is mobility. And this is special point of our engineer. We are very satisfied with this chance to join a part of Olympic game”.
ThyssenKrupp Fahrtreppen is leading company in movable escalator that have hydraulic system and generator. It is made in escalator factory in Hamburg, Germany, and already sold to 16 sites in Middle east asia, East Europe. But this is the first contract in Asia.
