The company operates in four business segments: Online Technology, Pharmaceuticals, Cable Solutions and Automation. With a global presence in 80 countries, including Austria, Germany, Russia, the UK, Asia and the Middle East, the company employs 4,800 people in more than 40 operating companies. With annual sales of CHF 13 million as of last year, the Dattwiler Group is committed to being a "multi-player" so that its customers can focus on their core competencies. In particular, the Cable Solutions business is a leader in providing quality systems and services for building electrical and telecommunications infrastructure. The business is divided into ICT, fire safety, building automation, lifts and software, and employs turnkey solutions from design to systems engineering and maintenance for buildings and shopping malls, airports and hotels, hospitals and tunnels. More than two-thirds of its sales are generated outside of Switzerland, with significant sales growth in the first half of the year in the Swiss and Chinese markets. The company's elevator flat cable product, dynofil, is available in three models: FL for low speed (80 meters maximum travel), FM for medium speed (150 meters maximum travel), and FH for high speed (400 meters maximum travel), and is supplied to the world's leading companies based on decades of technology. In addition to compensating weights and flat cables, the company also produces suspension systems and shaft lighting systems, including lamps, switches, and power sockets, which are compliant with EN 81 and European Council Directive 95/16/EC and Annex I 98/37/EC. "All cable products produced by Dartwiler are ISO 9001 and EN 29001 compliant, including raw materials, development, and planning," emphasizes Mr. Dartwiler. Meanwhile, the Dartwiler Group has opened a branch office in Singapore to oversee the Asian region and is aggressively marketing in China and South Korea. In South Korea, Hwain Corporation has signed an exclusive contract with Dartwiler to supply its flat cable and traveling cable products to large domestic companies and related organizations. |
